The Weather Outside Is Frightful…..

Now if I could only figure out how to get these pictures smaller but not thumbnail size. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…

Ok, top pic is Banana Nut Bread…I had a bunch of bananas that had seen their better day. Since I’m not rushing to get out on the icy roads I decided to bake some bread. The next picture is a new recipe for me. I actually found it on Well, I found two recipes and blended them to make it my own. lol Ok, I am my mother’s daughter. lol Note that soup is cooking in my new super duper lid-locking crock pot!! Those of you who laughed when I walked into Gourmet Yarn’s Knit-in with my old crock pot wrapped in towels in the laundry basket….this is the answer. I was afraid the liquid in the crock pot would slop over the side during the ride from Norman to OKC, hence the towels and laundry basket. THEN I saw the lid locking crock pot on some advertisement and I knew I had to get it. Walmart….$30.

On the knitting front, I’m still plugging away on the Irish Hiking Scarf. I’m now at 50 inches rapidly heading to 70 inches which is the length I want.

For those of you who know how to drive in this snow and ice….there are crazies out there who do NOT know how to drive on the snow and ice and THAT is who may run into you. Be safe and stay inside and KNIT!

Now let’s see if this post will look ok and the pictures will be within “range”.

Well both items look tasty. I think we’ll be having some chile soup later today and I plan to bake a cream cheese almond pound cake that sounds good. I’ve been knitting and already had a late morning nap and am looking forward to my afternoon nap! 😉

I, unfortunately, was one of the dedicated (“crazy, insane”) people who went to work this morning. I finally came home around 2 pm, and a nap sounds really good right now.

Enjoy your day–I’m worried that tomorrow will not be so good, either.

Am I the only one that can’t view the pictures here?
(BTW, I found my way to this new blogsite while reading comments to The Harlot’s tale about her lovely new neighbor.)
